Jerm Boor is someone I went to school with at St. John's College in Santa Fe. I can be an oddly social guy for someone who claims to be anti-social, but the first weekend at St. John's was just going around, drinking, smoking, and plain meeting people. The first weekends at college, at least when you are college age at 18/19, are just plain fun.
Anyways, walking back to my dorm in Murchinson, I heard someone playing
geetar in the upper commons space. The room above the one that held
the pool table, and may still hold a pool table. So I walked in, met
Jerm and smoked some cigarettes. Listened to him play guitar a met a
good, cool person.
I haven't seen him in years. Hope he's still that good, cool person. Played a mean Kottkesque guitar and just wrote some fun music. You'll hear it because I'm posting a demo tape that I am fortunate to still have around. People say objects aren't important, and they're right. But some objects you hold dear because they are physical representations of memory.
This is one of them. They weren't perfect years, but what a time and place to be imperfect.
I did notice that someone did make it to The Mewl through Googling Jerm Boor. They were from Austin, TX. Hello Austin!
Here goes side A from the tape. I named the demo and tracks myself. Jerm was in a band called Woody's Jukebox before moving to Santa Fe. So I call this album "The Wooden Jukebox".
1A- Bird
2A- Milton's
3A- Instrumental
4A- Instrumental
5A- Oh No, Now I'm Insane
6A- Iphigenia
7A- Instrumental
8A- The Couch That God Built
9A- G I R L
10A- Favorite
11A- Instrumental
Side B will arrive later.

Wow, great to see this. I went to high school with Jerm and periodically google him.
What a treat. He is a monk now, by the way.
